Burning Questions?

What is Bacterial Vaginosis?

Bacterial Vaginosis, also referred to as BV, is a common condition caused by an imbalance of naturally occurring bacteria in the vagina. Basically, the vagina loses its normal acidity, and its pH increases to greater than 4.5, often causing smelly discharge.

Just how common is BV?

You’re not alone: BV is the most common vaginal infection in vagina-owners of reproductive age, with between 5-70% being affected at any one time.

How do the Lactate Vaginal Gels work?

The cooling lactate gels balance the pH in the vagina to restore a healthy acidic pH which supports healthy bacteria that act as a barrier to vaginal infections.

What is the treatment for BV?

We provide you with 7 x Relactagel Lactate Vaginal Gels, which work to restore the vaginal pH. Relactagel Lactate Vaginal Gel treats and prevents bacterial vaginosis with 7 x single dose tubes for 1 week’s treatment. However, you’ll also require antibiotics to help clear up the infection of BV, so make sure to discuss with your health professional.

Okay, I’m ready: how do I use the Lactate Vaginal Gels?

The gels have a twisty top which you simply break off, and then gently squirt the contents inside your vagina. Just don’t forget to read the instructions and you’re all set.
