How To Take Care Of Your Cindy
Aftercare is not just a post-coital requirement. To get the most out of Cindy (or any other silicone sex toy), you need to know how to look after her properly. - When the action’s done, it’s time to clean up. Use warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap to give Cindy a gentle wash in the sink or bath. Despite being waterproof, under no circumstances should Cindy be popped into the dishwasher. In fact, most silicone toys won’t withstand a hot cycle so it’s best to stick to a hand job (as it were).
- Ensure you rinse your silicone toy thoroughly with fresh water after washing and/or bath time to remove all soap. Leftover soap residue can cause vaginal irritation or even lead to yeast infections, so make sure she’s clear of all suds and then air dry until totally moisture-free.
- Silicone-based lubricants can degrade silicone toys, making them porous and prone to trapping bacteria - something you definitely don’t want to introduce to sexy time. Ensure you’re using a water-based lubricant (like our own formula!) to keep Cindy in top shape.
- Avoid storing Cindy in extreme temperatures (no airing cupboards or freezing corners under the bed) and should be kept away from direct sunlight. The classic side drawer is a perfect home for your toy.
- If you use a cloth bag for storing your silicone sex toy, make sure to consider the material carefully. Silicone can attract fibres, lint and dust, so once you’ve cleaned and air-dried your toy, pop it in a cotton or poly-satin bag or pouch, or even a ziplock bag.
