HWOM: Cara Delevigne
"I refuse to let these grown men treat people like objects with no feelings and get away with it, I will never be silent."
Birthday celebrations are in order for Miss CD. Today she turns the tender age of 25 and despite her young years, Cara is challenging stereotypes and forever standing up for what she believes. With a huge influence on the new generation, her role is quite pivotal. Here’s why we will most definitely be raising a toast to the youngest Delevigne today:
- She speaks up for what she believes. Recently discussing having positive female role models on the big screen Delevigne reveals, “it’s about how men perceive women and it’s not accurate, and it annoys me! I don’t think people speak up enough. It’s important that when girls watch movies they’ve got strong female role models."
- She is all about banishing gender stereotypes, and describing herself as bi-sexual she has publicly dated both men and women. Cara is the role model we need to set the right example of being true to yourself, stating “My sexuality is not a phase. I am who I am.”
- Cara doesn’t take life too seriously. As a ridiculously talented model and actress, she could very easily fall into the category of “stuck up her own a**” but on the contrary, her infectious sense of humour and ability to make fun of herself is somewhat refreshing.
Fun Fact: Dame Joan Collins is her Godmother!
With so much inspiration in a quarter of a century, we are excited to see what else is to come… Cara you’re our hero.
