HWOM: Adele

"Be brave and fearless to know that even if you do make a wrong decision, you're making it for good reason."

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (MBE) is the singer song writer that has been uplifting us and pulling at our heart strings for over 7 years. She is immensely talented with a fantastic work ethic. She is humble, funny and adores her fans. Here is why she is HANX woman of the month:

  1. She is a big advocate of body positivity and she is very vocal about it. She is proud of her body and tells others to have same attitude. She told British Vogue in October 2011: "I enjoy being me; I always have done. I've seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and it wears them down. And I don't want that in my life. It's never been an issue at least, I've never hung out with the sort of horrible people who would make it an issue. I have insecurities, of course, but I don't hang out with anyone who points them out to me."
  2. She has achieved so much in her career. She has been awarded 15 Grammys, the 2nd most downloaded song in UK is ‘Someone like you’ and she has won an Oscar. Also, she is in the Guinness World Record book and was named the First female to have two singles and two albums in UK Top 5 simultaneously - a feat previously achieved by The Beatles in 1963 - and 21 is also the first album in UK chart history to reach sales of three million in a calendar year. Her work ethic which is gruelling that has got her here. We can learn a lot from her hustle!
  3. She truly is an inspiration to all including former Prime Minister Gordon Brown! Brown wrote to Adele during the global economic crisis praising her for keeping the country's feelings buoyant. He called her "a light at the end of the tunnel."

Fun Fact: Adele loves her tea. Like a true Brit. In face she likes her tea with 2 sugars.

We love her at HANX and wish her the Happiest of Birthday's... the Big 3-0! Continue making a fantastic impact on the industry Adele.
