Power Woman: Gemma Huckle

HANX is the first luxury male condom designed uniquely with women in mind

In the lead up to our launch this August, we are excited to showcase our Top HANX Power Women. You really are in for a treat.

Today we are celebrating Gemma Huckle, head of content and culture at Rooster Punk, where creativity is taking a more human approach to business.

Gemma's passion for humanising brands and ensuring positive relationships within companies is refreshing and, quite frankly, the world needs more of this.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do.

I have a split personality, which means I’m either focused and organised or creative and quirky, depending on where my mood takes me. And I think that’s why I’ve ended up doing the job I do, because working for a fast-growth creative agency means I have to be flexible enough to do the little things that make a big impact on the wellbeing of the team and the bigger strategic stuff too. Outside of work, my husband and I love spending time with our French bulldog Amelie – even though I take her to the office every day, it’s nice to take her for long walks too. I’m big on experiences and trying new things, just the other week I went to a (sober) morning rave before work to feel energised for the day – everyone needs to try it!

What is your idea of ‘taking control’ with regards to your life?

Taking control for me is about having choices and freedom in life. I guess it’s about having the option to do things my way that makes me feel in control.

When was the last time you took control and did something your way?

Oh, that’s a tough question! I don’t think there’s a specific occasion really, but I’d say I’m quite good at taking control everyday by keeping calm and cool when things at work and life get a bit crazy.

What motivational mantra do you live by?

If you wait for perfection you’ll never get anything done.

Gemma, we couldn't agree more #TakeControl
